Synopsis
Solitaire is an unsettling experimental ghost story that delves into themes of family, home, identity and gender — portrayed as shifting, parasitic forces that inhabit bodies and spaces. Through a wordless and visually poetic narrative, the film balances deep mystery with emotional resonance. A brother returns to his family home after a long absence, only to discover that his sister has died. As their identities begin to merge, they are unable to re-enter the house, which appears possessed by an entity that is both maternal and childlike, while darker, ominous forces loom in the background…
